Vazhaipoo Vadai / Banana flower Vadai recipe /Vazhaipoo masal Vadai/Banana flower Dal Vada




Ingredients: கடலைப்பருப்பு / Bengalgram- 1 cup வாழைப்பூ / cut Banana flower- 1 cup சிவப்பு மிளகாய் / Red chili- 4 வெங்காயம் / Onion - 1 பெருங்காயம்/ Asafoetida- 1/2 tsp சோம்பு / Saunf - 1 tsp கொத்தமல்லி / Coriander- little உப்பு / Salt - To taste எண்ணை / Oil - to fry Method: See the link below to watch , how to clean and cut the banana flower https://youtu.be/TjiFBXuH5Rg Clean banana flower & cut.Soak the flower in water with 1 tsp of curd in that. Wash bengal gram and soak it for 2 hrs. After 2 hrs drain the water before grinding for vada. Grind bengal gram , red chili, salt & asafoetida coarsely in a blender. Add saunf ,coriander,onion and banana flower to the mixture . Mix thoroughly. Heat oil in Kadhai . Make small Vadas out of that and fry in oil till we get golden brown in color. Excellent tasty ,hot Banana flower Vadas are ready to serve with Tomato ketchup & green chutney .
