#Tomato#StoreTomato#PreserveTomatoes#ranjisflavours Any amount of tomatoes can be taken as per requirement. Wash & wipe the tomatoes. While buying tomatoes, it should be well Riped & hard. 1st method: To preserve the whole tomato, cut the same in + like at the bottom. Freeze it for 2 hrs on a plate covered with a stretchable wrap. After 2 hrs it will be very hard & can be stored in a ziplock bag after removing the air from the bag with a help of a fruit straw. Seal it & keep it in a freezer. While using the same, it should be thawed & peel out the skin for use. 2nd method: Cut the tomatoes into slices & keep them in a tray with butter paper, such as the side of the seeds on top. Keep it in a freezer for 2 hrs. After 2 hrs take out the tray & keep it in ziplock bags. That can be kept in a freezer and used as per requirement. Enjoy Ranjis flavours! #CitronKuzhambu#NarthangaiKuzhambu#Citron#ranjisflavours Ingredients: நார்த்தங்காய் / Citron- 1.5 நல்லெண்ணை / Sesame Oil - 1/4 cup கடுகு / Mustard- 1 tsp வெந்தயம் / Fenugreek- 1 tsp உளுத்தம்பருப்பு / Ulad dal - 2 tbsps கடலைப்பருப்பு / Bengal gram- 1 tbsp சிவப்பு மிளகாய் / Red chili - 12 கருவேப்பிலை / Curry leaves- little வெல்லம் / Jaggery - 3/4 to 1 tbsp உப்பு / Salt - 1 tsp மஞ்சள்தூள் / Turmeric powder- 1 tsp புளி / Tamarind- lemon size soaked in water பெருங்காயம் / Asafetida -1/2 tsp பச்சை மிளகாய் / Green chili -2 Method: Wash & wipe citron. Cut citron in small pieces. Heat sesame oil in Kadhai & add citron. Add turmeric powder. Fry in low flame & add salt. Take 3 tsps of oil in Kadhai. Fry mustard, Methi, red chili, Ulad dal & Chana dal together & fry till golden. Cool the same & make powder. After cooking the citron check whether it becomes soft. Then add tamarind water & cook nicely. After that add the masala powder & boil for 5 minutes till it becomes thick. Lastly, add jaggery. Out citron kuzhambu is ready to serve with rice & can be kept in the refrigerator for more than 15 days for use. Enjoy Ranjis flavours!
