Poha Papad/ Aval appalam/ Aval Vadam/ Flattened Rice Papad /How to make Poha Papad




#AvalAppalam#PohaPapad#AvalVadam#RanjisFlavours Ingredients: அவல்/ Poha/ Flattened rice- 1 cup உப்பு / Salt - to taste சீரகம் / Jeera / Cumin- 1/2 tsp சிவப்பு மிளகாய் / Red chili flakes- 1/2 tsp சமையல் சோடா / Cooking soda - 1 pinch தண்ணீர் / Water - 3 cups Method: Clean Poha without any dust. Make nice powder out of that & keep it in a separate bowl. Boil 3 cups of water in a pan or kadhai. When the water boils add Poha ( அவல்) powder to that slowly in high flame & stir continuously without any lumps. Then lower the flame in medium to low to cook the Poha. Stir nicely for 8 to 9 minutes & then switch off the flame. Grease the plastic sheet with oil to make Papad. We have to make the Papad when the Poha batter is hot. Keep one ring on the sheet to make a round shaped Papad. Pour and spread the batter inside the ring to make Papad. We can make small sized vadam also as per your requirement. Make all Papad In the same way and dry in sun for 2 days. It can be dried inside the house under fan also. After 2 days of drying , we can fry the Papad and serve. It is very light, White & very tasty . This is a very easy method of making the Poha Papad. Thatte Idly/ Thattu Idli/ Plate Idly/ Flat Idli / Thattu idly recipe/ Karnataka famous Thatte idli


#ThatteIdli#PlateIdli#ThattuIdliRecipe Ingredients: இட்லி அரிசி/ Idli Rice- 2 cup உளுத்தம்பருப்பு / Ulad dal- 1 cup அவல்/ Poha- 3/4 cup உப்பு / Salt- to taste Method: Wash & soak idly rice for 5 hrs Wash Ulad dal & soak it for 2 hrs. Wash & soak Poha for 1 hr. First grind Poha coarsely. Grind Ulad dal with cold water so that it becomes nice fluffy . Grind rice like thin Rava size and mix all batter together with salt . Ferment for 8 hrs or overnight. Now the batter will be nicely fermented and ready to make idlis. We can use Thatte Idli stand or use any plate to make idlis. Steam water in a pan. Grease the plates with oil and pour the batter in that and tap it so that we get uniform size idlis. Steam it for 10 minutes. After 10 minutes take it out and cool the same for 5 min. Then with a help of knife take out idlis in the corner & serve. We can make chutney and Sambhar as side dish. Here I have made chutney differently with grated coconut, small onion piece, green chili, tomato & salt. We can try this taste which will be v tasty. Enjoy Ranjis flavours!
