Ingredients: சுரைக்காய் / Bottle guard/ lauki- 1 1/2 cups( grated) ரவா/ Rava- 1/2 cup கோதுமை மாவு / Wheat flour-1/2 cup கடலை மாவு / Bengalgram flour- 1/2 cup எள் / Gingely- 3 tbsp உப்பு / Salt- To taste மஞ்சள் பொடி/ turmeric powder- 1 tsp பச்சை மிளகாய் / Green chilli- 3 சீரகம்/ Cumin - 1 tsp சமையல் சோடா / baking soda-1/4 tsp எண்ணை / oil - To fry கொத்தமல்லி/ coriander leaves- little பெருங்காயம்/ Asafoetida- 1/2 tsp Method: Grate bottle guard. Mix Rava, Wheat flour, Bengalgram flour, salt, green chili, asafoetida,baking soda & turmeric powder and make dough without adding water as lauki has already got more water content. Make small balls out of dough by applying oil in hands. Keep all in a plate for steaming. Boil water in a pan and keep the plate contained Muthiya for steaming for 10 minutes. After that take out the Muthiya allow it to cool. After cooling cut into small pieces. Heat 3 tsp of oil . Add mustard, Sesame,Jeera and Muthiyas. Fry nicely to roast.
