Mini Podi Idli Recipe/How to make Idly podi-Gun powder/Lunchbox-Travel Recipe Idli Kara podi


#podiidli #karampodi #idlipodi #idlipodirecipe Ingredients: Preparation of batter for idly: இட்லி அரிசி/Idli rice- 4 cups உளுந்தம்பருப்பு / Ulad dal-1 cup வெந்தயம் / Fenugreek-1 tsp Wash & soak rice & Ulad dal for 5 to 6 hrs. Soak fenugreek separately. Grind rice & dal with fenugreek separately nicely. Mix both together with salt. Ferment it for 8 hrs. Batter will be readin the morning. Pour the same in mini idly plates &!steam it for 10 minutes. Cool the same & take out all idlis & keep it. Preparation of idly podi : கடலைப்பருப்பு / Bengal gram-1 cup உளுத்தம்பருப்பு / Ulad dal-2 cups பெருங்காயம் / Asafetida- 1 tsp எள் / Sesame- 1 cup வர மிளகாய் / Red chili - 2 cups எண்ணை / oil- 2 to 3 tsps for frying all dal உப்பு / Salt - 1.5 tsps Fry all dals & chili separately. Cool the same & grind coarsely & mix all with salt. After mixing again grind all in mixie to get a nice podi. Now the gun powder is ready. To make mini Podi Idli : தேங்காய் எண்ணை/ coconut Oil - 2 tsps நல்லெண்ணை/ Sesame oil- 3 tbsps கடுகு / Mustard-1 tsp உளுத்தம்பருப்பு / Ulad dal- 1 tsp கருவேப்பிலை / Curry leaves- little பெருங்காயம் / Asafetida- 1/2 tsp Method: Heat both oil & add mustard & Ulad dal. Add asafetida & curry leaves. Add gun powder & Fry them. Then add prepared mini idlis & mix well so as to coat on all sides. Yummy & delicious mini Podi idlis are ready for travel & lunchbox. Ingredients: பழுத்த மாம்பழம் /Riped mango - 1 பால் / Creamy milk- 1 full glass பாதாம் / Badam sliced- 2. Tsps மாம்பழத்தண்டுகள்/ Mango pieces ( to be kept separately to add at last from mango) வெனிலா ஜஸ்க்ரீம் / vanila icecream - 2 scoops சர்க்கரை / Sugar - 2 tbsps பிஸ்தா / Pistachios- 1 tsp ( sliced) Method : Wash & peel mango & cut in pieces. Add milk , sugar & make pulp of the same. Keep the same in a bowl in refrigerator for 1 hr. After an hour serve in glasses. Top it with mango pieces, Badam & a scoop of ice cream. Ingredients: ஜவ்வரிசி / Sago- 1 cup உப்பு / Salt - to taste Method: Wash sago twice & drain water. Add water up to the level of sago & soak it for 8 hrs. ( say around 12 noon) Night 8 o’clock : Boil 2 cups of water in a pan & add salt. Add the water in sago & soak it for overnight. Morning mix the sago nicely & it is ready to mash. Take one bowl & keep a strainer. Add the soaked Sabudhana & mash well with potato masher or any thick based cup. The paste from sago comes in the bowl. Remaining sago to be made paste in a blender. Take the Murukku press & grease with oil. Take the sago paste in press & make sevai vadam. Dry in hot sun for 2 days. It comes out v nicely & white in color. முருங்கைக்காய் கொத்சு இப்படி செஞ்சு அசத்துங்க/Tasty Drumstick Bharta Immunity booster Moringa curry

Ingredients: முருங்கைக்காய் / Drumsticks - 1/2 kg வெங்காயம் / Onion- 1 ( big) தக்காளி / Tomato -1 ( big) பச்சை மிளகாய் / Green chili-3 சிகப்பு மிளகாய் / Red chili -1 துறுவிய இஞ்சி / Grated ginger-1 tsp பெருங்காயம் / Asafetida- 1/4 tsp வறுத்த சீரகத்தூள் / Riasted Jeera powder- 1/2 tsp கொத்தமல்லி விரை பொடி / Coriander powder-1/2 tsp காரப்பொடி / Red chili powder-1/2 tsp ( if necessary ) உப்பு / Salt - as per taste எண்ணை / Oil - 4 tsps கடலை மாவு / Bengal gram flour- 2 tbsps கொத்தமல்லித்தழை / Coriander leaves- little Method: Wash & cut drumstick in big pieces so that to fit in pressure pan cooker. Keep drumsticks in cooker & add water to immerse nicely. Keep it for 1 whistle. Afterwards take out the drumsticks & let it cool. Take out the pulp easily & keep it aside. Heat oil in pan. Add mustard, Jeera & asafetida. Add green & red chili , ginger to that. Add onion & tomato to that & fry them till becomes soft . Then add drumstick pulp to that & cook with lid in medium flame for 5 minutes. Then add salt, turmeric, coriander & roasted Jeera powder. Mix well & cook. Take 2 tbsps of Bengal gram flour & mix with water to make slurry without lumps. Add this slurry to the pulp & mix well. Cook for another 2 to 3 minutes to combine well. At this stage we can addd little water as per required consistency if necessary. Our yummy tasty drumstick bharta / gostu is ready to serve as side dish for Roti, rice etc. Enjoy Ranjis flavours! Ingredients: அவல் பொறி / Flattened rice flakes- 2 cups கடலை / Peanuts- 1/2 cup பொட்டுக்கடலை / Roadted gram- 1/2 cup எண்ணை / Oil - 3 tsps + oil to fry corn flakes கருவேப்பிலை / Curry leaves- little மஞ்சள் தூள்/ Turmeric- 1/2 tsp மிளகாய் தூள் / Chili powder- 1 tsp சீரகத்தூள் / Jeera powder- 1/2 tsp மல்லித்தூள் / Coriander powder- 1/2 tsp பெருங்காயம் / Asafetida- 1/4 tsp கார்ன் ப்ளேக்ஸ் / Corn flakes - 1/2 cup உப்பு / Salt - to taste Method: Clean flattened rice flakes . Heat oil in kadhai & roast peanuts till crispy. Fry curry leaves. Fry rice flakes till crispy. Add asafetida, cumin , coriander, turmeric & chili powder. Mix well after adding salt. Add fried peanuts & curry leaves to that & mix. Heat oil in kadhai &fry corn flakes also. Keep it in tissue paper to remove oil. Add the same to the mixture & mix. ஈஸியான அரிசி அப்பளம் செய்முறை/Rice papad recipe in Tamil Method-1How to make Rice papad in easy way

Ingredients: அரிசி மாவு /Rice flour- 1 cup தண்ணீர் / Water - 1.5 cups உப்பு / Salt - to taste ( 1/2 tsp) பச்சை மிளகாய் விழுது / Green chili paste- 1/2 tsp சீரகம் / Cumin - 1/2 tsp எண்ணை / Oil - 1 tsp Method: To make flour: Wash 1 kg of rice thrice & drain the water. Dry in a cloth for 2 hrs nicely. Then add 100 gms of sago ( sabudana) to that & make flour in a flour mill. From this flour take one cup for papad. Take a heavy bottom pan & add 1.5 cups of water. Add salt, green chili paste, oil & cumin. Let it boil. Then add rice flour to that & cook nicely. Keep it for 6 minutes in low flame & cook the same. ( if the pan is not thick heat Tawa on gas & keep the pan on that & cook for 6 minutes so that it doesn’t stick to the bottom) After 6 minutes cool the dough & keep it in thick plastic bag & press nicely on all sides with potato masher, so that the dough becomes soft nicely. Take out that & roll small size balls to make papad. Keep the balls inside one plastic sheet & press it with a plate or flat bottomed vessel to make papad. Spread the same event with a finger to get a thin papad. Dry the same in hot sun for 2 days. After 2 days we can fry them in hot oil. This papad becomes big & white in colour if we follow few tips correctly. Try this & give your feedback. Enjoy Ranjis flavours!
