Mysore Pak/ மைசூர் பாக்/ Easy Homemade Mysore Pak Receipe


Ingredients: கடலை மாவு / Bengalgram flour -1 cup சர்க்கரை / Sugar- 1 1/2 cups ( if we want less sugar can take 1 1/4 cups) நெய் / Ghee - 1 to 1 1/2 cups தண்ணீர் / water- 3/4 cup Method: Dry roast Bengalgram flour ( besan) in a kadhai , till the raw smell goes off. Keep it aside. Grease a plate with ghee and keep aside. Keep sugar & water in a pan in a medium flame. Mix it nicely & make Pak with 1 string consistency. Keep on stirring nicely till we get that. Heat the ghee in a medium flame in a kadhai. Add roasted Bengalgram flour slowly in the sugar syrup by stirring constantly so that no lumps are formed. Add hot ghee in between and stir nicely. Go on adding the ghee till we get a porous consistency and it leaves the side of the pan and doesn’t stick to the pan. That is the correct time to switch off the flame and pour in a plate which is greased already. Spread the crystal sugar on top of it and that looks v nice once u cut the Mysore Pak. When the contents are medium hot ,cut into diamond shape or round shape whichever we prefer. Our Mysore Pak is ready to serve and very yummy.
