Ranjis Flavours : முள்ளங்கி ரொட்டி / Radish Paratha / Mooli paratha


Ingredients:

கோதுமை மாவு /Wheat flour: 1 cup

முள்ளங்கி / Radish - 1 medium size

சீரகப்பொடி /cumin powder/ jeera powder- 1/2 tsp

கொத்தமல்லிவிரை பொடி / coriander
powder / dhaniya powder - 1/2 tsp

உப்பு / Salt - To taste

மஞ்சள் பொடி / Turmeric powder / Haldi powder - 1/2 tsp

மிளகாய் பொடி / Chili powder - 1/2 tsp

எண்ணை / Oil - To make roti

Method:

Grate radish and keep aside.

Take wheat flour in a bowl, add salt, cumin powder, coriander powder, turmeric powder, chili powder and grated radish and make a dough by adding little water to the dough as radish has got more water content by itself. Add one tsp of oil to the dough  and let it rest for 15 minutes.

Make small balls of the dough and make rotis. Heat Tawa and roast the roti by applying oil on both sides. Our Radish roti is ready to eat with onion raita & salads, pickle.

Variation :
We can add 1/2 tsp of carom seeds, and 2 tablespoons of gram flour to make roti crisp and carom seeds helps for digestion.
