Ingredients:
வாழைக்காய் / Raw banana- 2
உப்பு / Salt - 2 tsp
பெருங்காயம் / Asafoetida - 1/2 tsp
எண்ணை / Oil - To make chips
Method:
Peel the skin of raw banana and keep in water.
Soak salt and asafoetida in water so that we can use that water while making chips.
Heat oil in kadhai and grate the raw banana directly in the hot oil into thin slices. When it is half fried add 1/2 tsp of salt water and asafoetida water in the hot oil.
After the chips is fried we can take out from oil and our raw banana chips is ready to eat .
Tip :
when we add salt water in oil , salt get absorbed in chips , so also the the smell of asafoetida. If we add salt after the chips are made it will not distribute equally in all chips.
We can add chili powder after making the chips if needed.
