#rava#samba#sambarava#kozhukkattai #ravakolukattai#ranjisflavours Ingredients: சம்பா ரவை / Samba Rava - wheat Rava- 1 cup தேங்காய் எண்ணை / Coconut oil - 6 tbsps துவரம்பருப்பு/ Tuvar dal - 1/4 cup கடலைப்பருப்பு/ Bengal gram- 2 tbsps கருவேப்பிலை/ Curry leaves- 3 arc பெருங்காயம்/ Asafetida- 1/4 tsp சிகப்பு மிளகாய்/ Red chili- 2 கடுகு / Mustard seeds - 1 tsp உளுத்தம்பருப்பு/ Ulad dal - 1 tsp கடலைப்பருப்பு/ Bengal gram- 1/2 tsp தண்ணீர்/ Water - 2.5 cups துருவிய தேங்காய்/ Grated coconut- 1/4 cup பச்சைமிளகாய்/ Green chili- 2 உப்பு / salt - to taste Method: Wash & soak toor dal, Bengal gram in water. Add red chili, curry leaves & asafetida with that. Soak it for 2 hrs. After 2 hrs, grind it coarsely & keep separately. Add oil in the kadhai & add Rava. Roast it for 2 to 3 minutes. After roasting keep it in a plate to cool. Take kadai . Add oil. Add mustard to splutter. Then add Ulad dal, Bengal gram, curry leaves & green chili. Add grated coconut & mix well. Then add water to boil. After boiling, add the dal paste & stir well. Then add roasted samba Rava, cook for 3 minutes covered with a lid. Stir it in between. Now the dough will be ready to make kozhukattai. Keep the same in a plate to cool. After wetting the hands in water, make small dumplings out of the dough and place them in a plate. Heat water in a kadhai with a stand. Keep the perforated plate on that. Keep all dumplings in that & cook ( steam ) it for 15 minutes. After 15 minutes, our samba Rava Kara kozhukattai will be ready to serve. Serve it with Kara chutney or coconut chutney, or Sambhar. Yummy Pidi / Kara kozhukattai will be ready.
