Vendhaya Keerai Puri/Methi Puri/How to make Methi leaves Puri/Methi Puri Recipe/Lunchbox puri recipe


 கடலைமாவு / Bengal gram flour- 1/2 cup

எண்ணை / Oil - 2 tsp + for frying உப்பு / Salt - to taste மஞ்சள்தூள் / Turmeric powder- 1/2 tsp சீரகத்தூள் /Jeera powder- 1/2 tsp தனியா தூள் / Coriander powder- 1 tsp மிளகாய் தூள் / Red chili powder- 1/2 tsp or as per taste Method: Wash & cut methi leaves. Take wheat flour in a bowl & add methi leaves & Bengal gram flour. Mix well. Then add turmeric, chili, jeera, salt & coriander powder. Mix all nicely. Then add water little by little to make a tight dough. At last, add 2 tsps of oil to make it soft. Rest it for 10 minutes. Heat oil in a Kadhai. Make small puris out of small balls. Fry all puris in hot oil. Our yummy methi puris are ready. These puris can be kept in a lunchbox for children with tomato ketchup. Any pickle or curd can be taken as a side dish.
