#ricerecipe #ricefara #steamedricefara#ricepitha #dinnerrecipe Ingredients: அரிசி மாவு / Rice flour- 1.5 cups தண்ணீர் / Water - 1/2 cup + 3 tbsps கடலைப்பருப்பு / Bengal gram - 1/2 cup உப்பு / Salt - 1/2 tsp இஞ்சி/ Ginger- 1/2 inch பச்சை மிளகாய்/ Green chili- 5 சிகப்பு மிளகாய் / Red chili- 1 சீரகம் / Jeera - 1 tsp பெருங்காயம்/ Asafetida- 1/4 tsp மிளகு பொடி / Pepper powder - 1/4 tsp கருவேப்பிலை/ Curry leaves- little Tadka: கடுகு / Mustard- 1/2 tsp சீரகம் / Jeera - 1/2 tsp உளுத்தம்பருப்பு/ Ulad dal - 1/2 tsp பெருங்காயம்/ Asafetida-1/4 tsp எள் / Sesame- 1.5 tsps கொத்தமல்லித்தழை/ Coriander leaves- little மஞ்சள்தூள்/ Turmeric powder- 1/4 tsp Method: Wash & soak Bengal gram for 8 hrs. Drain the water fully & add in mixer jar. Add salt, green & red chili, ginger & pepper powder. Grind to a coarse batter without adding water in pulse mode. Now the dal batter is ready Boil water & add in the rice flour & make a nice smooth dough. Cover it for 15 minutes. Cool the same & take equal amount of rice balls. Flatten the same by applying little oil on palm . Fill the dal mixture on one side & cover from other side. Need not close fully. Prepare all faras. Take perforated plate & place banana leaves on top. Place all rice faras on that. Heat water in kadai with stand. Place the faras on that & steam it for 10 to 15 minutes. After 15 minutes take out faras & cool. Heat oil in kadai for tadka. Add mustard, Jeera, Ulad dal, Asafetida, sesame, turmeric powder & curry leaves. After spluttering add faras in that & mix well to coat all tadka. Keep it closed for 1 min. Add coriander leaves on top & serve hot. Yummy, easy rice faras are ready to eat.
