Rice Omapudi Vadam/Rice flour Vadam-vathal recipe/Katai Vadam/Kuchi Vadam/How to make Rice vadam


 

#RiceVadam#RiceVadamRecipe#KuchiVadam#KattaiVadam Ingredients: அரிசி /Rice - 1 kg ஜவ்வரிசி / Sabudana- 150 gms பச்சை மிளகாய் / Green chili- 7 எலுமிச்சம்பழம் / Lemon - 1/2 ( take out the juice & keep it separately) உப்பு / Salt - 1.5 tsp( as per taste) எண்ணை / Oil - 1 tsp தண்ணீர் / Water - 2 cups Rice flour: water is 1:2 ratio முறுக்கு ப்ரஸ் / Murukku press with plates Method: Preparation of flour: Take 1 kg of rice. Wash it thrice & drain water. Spread it in a cloth to dry. After drying mix with Sabudana & grind nicely in a flour mill. Sieve the same. Preparation of Vadam: Take 2 cups of flour. Add 4 cups of water to a heavy bottom pan. Add salt & oil. When it boils add the flour & mix it nicely without lumps in a medium flame. After stirring for 3 to 4 minutes it becomes thick. The batter should not stick to our hands when we touch the same. Then switch off the flame. Cover it with a lid and keep it for 20 minutes. Clean plastic sheet & keep it ready beforehand. After 20 minutes open the lid & knead the batter nicely without lumps with your hand. As it is v hot touch water & knead the batter. Make balls out of that. Take a Murukku press and grease the same with oil inside. Fill up the batter & make stick vadam with the required plate. Then make Sevai vadam with sev plate . As the measurement is correct, it is v easy to make this. Make all Vadam in this way & dry in sun for 3 days.
