Ingredients:
சாமை அரிசி / Samai Rice ( little millet)- 500 gms (1/2 kg)- 2 cups 2 tbsps
உளுந்து / Ulad dal - 1/2 cup
வெந்தயம் / Methi/ fenugreek- 1 tsp
எண்ணை / Oil - to make Uthappam
வெங்காயம் /Onion - 1
( finely chopped)
குடை மிளகாய் / Capsicum- 1 ( finely chopped)
Method:
Wash & soak little millet for 4 hrs
Wash & soak Ulad dal & Methi for 2 hrs
Grind millet & dal separately & then mix it with salt. Let it ferment for 6 to 7 hrs. Grease the tava with oil. Spread the batter in small sizes. Add onion & capsicum on top & pour oil on the sides. Let it get roasted & then flip to the other side & roast it.
Make all Uthappam in the same way . Serve hot with coconut or onion chutney. Yummy crispy millet Uthappam is ready. Enjoy Ranjis flavours!
