Potato Sabudana (vrat)Papad Recipe/ How to make urulaikizhangu javvarisi vadagam/Potato sago papad
#PotatoSabudanaPapad#UrulaikizhanguJavvarisiVadagam#PotatoSagoPapad#RanjisFlavours Ingredients: ஜவ்வரிசி / Sago - 1 cup உருளைக்கிழங்கு / Potato 🥔 4 ( medium size) உப்பு / Salt - 1 tsp பெருங்காயம் / Asafoetida- 1/2 tsp பச்சை மிளகாய் விழுது / Green chilli paste - 1/2 tsp சீரகம் / Jeera- 1 tsp தண்ணீர் / Water- 4.25 cups ( may varie with sabudana, can add 1/4 cup of hot water more if necessary) Method: Wash & soak Sago ( Sabudana) for 5 to 6 hrs Or we can soak it for overnight. Drain the water in a strainer & keep. Peel potatoes & grate . Keep it in water. Boil 4.25 cups of water in a heavy bottom vessel. When water boils add sago to that & cook for 5 min with a lid. Add salt to that. In between stir it nicely so that it doesn’t stick to the bottom. Drain the water from potato through a strainer. Once the sago is cooked after 5 minutes, add the grated potatoes to that & cook nicely in a medium flame by stirring it in between. Once it is cooked add Jeera, green chili paste, asafoetida & mix. ( instead of green chilli we can add red chili flakes also ) When it is cooked nicely add finely chopped coriander leaves to that & mix. This is optional. Papad mixture is ready now. Cool the same nicely. Grease a plastic sheet with oil to make Papad. Make small small sizes of Papad with a small spoon. The same need not be spread. Make all Papad & dry in sun for 3 days nicely. Do not turn the Papad to other side unless it is dried on top. Now the potato Sabudana Papad is ready to fry in oil . Enjoy Ranjis flavours!
