வாழைக்காய் கூட்டு/ கச்சல் வாழைக்காய் கூட்டு/ Raw banana in coconut Gravy/ Raw banana gravy subji


Ingredients: கச்சல் வாழைக்காய் /Tender Raw banana- 7 தக்காளி/ Tomato 🍅- 2 துருவிய தேங்காய் / grated Coconut 🥥-1/2 கடுகு/ mustard- 1 tsp உப்பு/ Salt - to taste உளுத்தம்பருப்பு/ Split Ulad dal- 2 tsp சிவப்பு மிளகாய் / red chilli- 2 கருவேப்பிலை/ Curry leaves- little கடலைப்பருப்பு/ Bengalgram- 2 tsp( soaked in water) சீரகம்/ Cumin- 1 tsp இஞ்சி/ ginger- small piece பச்சை மிளகாய் / green chilli- 1 மஞ்சள் பொடி/ turmeric powder- 1/4 tsp மிளகாய் பொடி / chilli powder- 1/2 tsp பெருங்காயம்/Asafoetida - 1/2 tsp Method: Cut raw banana and keep in water. Cook raw banana with turmeric powder , tomato,soaked Bengalgram & salt. Fry Ulad dal & red chilli with oil till brown. Grind coconut, Jeera, green chilli & fried Ulad dal & red chilli in a blender to make a paste. After the raw banana cooks add the paste and mix nicely. Let it boil for 2 to 3 minutes. Heat 2 tsp of oil in a pan. Add mustard , ulad dal, curry leaves . When it gets brown in color pour on top of Kootu.
