» Maida biscuits/ shakar para/ இனிப்பு மைதா பிஸ்கட்/Maida biscuit recipe/Shakarpara recipe
Ingredients:
எண்ணை/ oil - 1/4 cup
சர்க்கரை / Sugar- 1/4 cup
தண்ணீர்/ Water- 1/4 cup
மைதா/ Maida - 1 cup
ஏலக்காய் / cardomom/ elaichi- 1/2 tsp ( powdered)
எண்ணை / oil - to fry
Method:
Mix sugar,water & oil in a pan and keep it in a low flame till the sugar melts. ( sugar need not boil or make v hot) Just the sugar to be dissolved in water oil mixture.
Switch off the flame and cool completely to room temperature.
After it cools add 1/4 cup of maida little by little and mix nicely. Add all maida and mix well. It will be like Chapathi consistency. Rest for 15 to 20 minutes.
Then roll like chapathi and cut into square pieces & so also small pieces to add in mixture. Fry all the biscuits till it gets golden brown in color. Our sweet maida biscuits are ready .
