Ingredients:
அவல் / Poha - 3 🤛 fistful
( This Quantity will be enough for 2 persons for 2 servings)
துருவிய தேங்காய் / grated coconut- 🥥- 1/2 coconut
பச்சை மிளகாய் / Green chilli- 4
கடுகு/ mustard- 1/2 tsp
உளுத்தம்பருப்பு / split black gram/ Ulad dal - 1/2 tsp
சீரகம் / Jeera/ cumin - 1/2 tsp
மிளகு பொடி/ Pepper powder- 1/2 tsp ( u can add 1 tsp also if u like it)
மஞ்சள் பொடி/ turmeric powder- 1/2 tsp
கொத்தமல்லி/ coriander leaves- little
உப்பு / Salt - to taste
நெய் / ghee - 2 tsp
Method:
Wash Poha and drain the water and keep it covered for 10 minutes. Heat oil a pan. Add mustard, ulad dal, jeera & green chilli to that. Add Poha and mix nicely . Keep it covered with a lid for 4 to 5 min in a medium flame after sprinkling 3 tsp of water to that.
Poha will be cooked nicely after 5 minutes. Add pepper powder, grated coconut & coriander leaves to that mix. Our Pepper Poha is ready to serve. Before serving add 2 tsp of ghee on top and serve hot.
