Ranjis Flavours: கோதுமை வடாம்/ Wheat Vadam / wheat Vadi/ கோதுமை கருவடாம்



Ingredients: கோதுமை / Wheat - 1/2 kg உப்பு / Salt - To taste Method: Soak wheat for 7 to 8 hrs. Grind wheat and take out wheat milk twice and keep it for 2 to 3 hrs. The top layer of wheat milk is only water. That has to be thrown and only milk should be used. Keep a heavy bottom vessel , pour the wheat milk in that. Stir the milk in medium flame and it will take 5 to 6 minutes to cook . Once it is cooked it will not stick in hand if we touch. That means our wheat batter is ready to do vadi. Make small vadis in a press and sun dry for 2 to 3 days. Our wheat Vadi will be ready after 3 days. When it is fried it will be very shiny.
