After 8 hrs, mix nicely with a spoon. Then boil water & pour on top of sabudana & soak it nicely overnight. Cook potatoes in a cooker & peel the skin. Grate the same in a small grater. Take the soaked Sabudana in a plate & add grated potatoes. Add salt, Asafetida & green chilli paste. Mix everything nicely into a batter with your hand. Take a plastic bag & fill it with the batter. Cut a corner of the bag to make a hole, and tighten it with a rubber band. Make a round murukku with the batter nicely. Dry in the sun for 2 Days. Heat oil in a kadhai & fry murukku vadam. They are so crispy & tasty. #papad #vadam #ricevadam#thennampooachuvadam#frymes Ingredients: Making of rice flour for Vadam: Take 1 kg of rice. Wash it thrice & dry it in a cloth. After drying, add 150 gms of sabudhana to that. Mix well & make nice flour in the flour mill. அரிசி மாவு / Rice flour - 2 cups தண்ணீர்/ Water - 4.5 cups ( for 1 cup 2.25 cups of water) பச்சை மிளகாய் விழுது / Green chili paste- 3/4 tsp பெருங்காயப்பொடி / Asafetida powder - 1/4 tsp எண்ணை / Oil - 1 tsp உப்பு / Salt - 1 tsp எலுமிச்சம்பழ ஜூஸ்/ Lemon juice - 1/2 lemon juice Method: Boil 4.5 cups of water in a heavy-bottomed kadhai. Add rice flour slowly by stirring thoroughly. Keep the flame in medium. Keep it covered for 7 to 8 minutes by stirring in between. Then the dough is fully cooked. Take the dough on a plate & make it smooth, using your hands. Grease the press with oil, keep the "Thennnampoo Acchu" in that. Fill the Acchu press with dough & make small fryums like in a refrigerator mat. Can be cut with scissors or by hand into small pieces. Make all the dough like this. Dry all in the hot sun for 2 days. After 2 days the fryums are ready to fry. Heat oil in a kadhai & fry the vadam . It is so crispy & white in colour. #papad#papadrecipes #khichiyapapad #ricepapad #அரிசிஅப்பளம் Ingredients: அரிசி மாவு / Rice flour- 1 cup ( any measure u take) தண்ணீர் / Water - same quantity of rice flour bowl which we take உப்பு / Salt - 1/2 tsp சீரகம் / Cumin - 1 tsp சமையல் சோடா / Cooking soda - 1 pinch ப்ப்படக்காரம் / Papad kharm - 1/2 tsp Method: Take rice flour in a bowl. Use the same bowl to measure water in a heavy-bottomed vessel. Boil water. Add salt, papad kharm, cooking soda & Jeera. When it boils, add the rice flour & mix it well. Keep the flame low and stir frequently; keep a lid closed. Cook it for 10 minutes. After 10 minutes, take out the dough & keep it in a plate. Make a nice smooth dough by pressing it nicely with a heavy-bottomed vessel. Make small balls out of that in a cylindrical shape. Boil water in a kadhai & keep one stand on that. Place a perforated plate on that & place all the dough in that. Cover it & cook for 20 minutes. After 20 minutes, check whether it is cooked properly by inserting a knife. It should come out clean without sticking. Take all the balls out & keep them in a wet cotton cloth. Again knead it nicely to smooth the dough. Take a small portion of the dough & make small round-shaped balls. Keep them covered to prevent them from drying. Take 2 plastic sheets & grease them with a little oil. Place the dough in sheet & press it with a plate. Then make a bigger papad using the rolling pin. Cut it in desired shape with a plate to get an evenly round papad. Make all of them the same way & dry the same in the sun for 2 days. Rice papad will be ready to fry. Heat oil in a kadhai & fry papad in medium flame. #papad #papadrecipe #ravapapad #vadam #appalam Ingredients: மெல்லிசு ரவை / Nice Rava - 1/2 cup அரிசி மாவு / Rice flour- 2 tbsps தண்ணீர் / Water - 1.25 cups பச்சை மிளகாய் விழுது / Green chili paste - 1/2 tsp உப்பு / Salt - 1/2 tsp எண்ணை / Oil - to fry Method : Make a nice powder of Rava & rice flour in a small mixer jar. Take that in a bowl. Heat water & add to Rava slowly, mix to make a nice dough. Boil water in a kadhai. Keep one stand on that. On top of that, keep one perforated plate for steaming. Keep the Rava mixture on the plate & steam it for 10 minutes with a lid. After 10 minutes, open the lid & keep it down. Transfer the same to a plate to cool. With a flat-bottom cup, mix the batter thoroughly to remove any lumps. Then make small balls and keep them in a bowl & cover them. Take Chapathi stone. Place 2 thick plastic sheets & grease them with ghee. Place the balls between them to flatten them, then use a roller to make a round papad. Slowly remove the top plastic & turn the papad in a drying mat & take out the plastic. If you want to cut it with a steel dabba to get a round shape. Make all papad in the same way. Dry all papads under the fan. After 4 hrs flip it to the other side. The next morning, we can dry it in the hot sun for 5 hrs. Our yummy papad will be ready to fry. #vathal #vadam #boiledricevathal#boiledricevadam#food Ingredients: புழுங்கலரிசி அரைத்த மாவு / Boiled rice batter- 1 cup உப்பு / Salt - 1/2 tsp பச்சைமிளகாய் பேஸ்ட்/ Green chili paste- 3/4 tsp பெருங்காயத்தூள்/ Asafetida powder - 1/4 tsp தண்ணீர்/ Water - total 3.5 cups கருவேப்பிலை/ Curry leaves- little ( optional) ஓம்ம் / carom seeds- 1/2 tsp Soak boiled rice overnight & make a nice batter in a grinder. Take 1 cup of the batter & mix with 1/2 of water to a pouring consistency. Add asafetida, curry leaves, carom seeds, salt & chili paste & mix well. Boil 3 cups of water in a heavy-bottom vessel. Then slowly add the batter into the water by mixing it constantly by keeping the flame on low. After 5 minutes, the batter will be cooked nicely. Switch off the flame & cool the same. Use a small ladle to keep the batter on a refrigerator mat to make vadam. Keep all the batter & dry ingot in the sun for 3 days. Our vadam will be ready, which is v tasty & easy to make.
