Paruppu Payasam Recipe for Navrathri/Dal Kheer for Navarathri Bhog/How to make tasty Paruppu Payasam

Ingredients: கடலைப்பருப்பு / Bengal gram- 1/4 cup பாசிப்பருப்பு / Split green dal - 1/4 cup வெல்லம் / Jaggery- 1 cup ஏலக்காய் / Cardamom- 3 to 4 முந்திரி / Cashews - 10 திராட்சை / Raisins - 10 நெய் / ghee - 3 tsps பால் / Milk - 3/4 glass துருவிய தேங்காய் / Grated coconut- 2 tbsps தேங்காய் சிறு துண்டுகள் / Cut coconut pieces- 15 Method: Dry roast Bengal gram for 2 to 3 minutes & soak in water for 45 minutes. Dry roast mung dal & pour water to cook nicely. Cook Bengal gram after 45 minutes in a microwave for 3 to 4 minutes. ( we can cook in an open vessel also) Grind Bengal gram, cardamom & coconut in a mixer jar & grind. Roast cashews, raisins & coconut pieces in ghee till they r golden in colour. After cooking the moong dal add this paste & cook the same for 4 minutes. After that add jaggery & mix nicely till they melt nicely. Mix well Then add milk & roasted cashews & raisins & coconut pieces. Our yummy paruppu payasam is ready for Navratri Bhog to Devi Maa. Enjoy Ranji’s flavours!
