Paal kozhukattai/Milk modak/How to make milk kozhukattai/Ganesh Chaturthi special Recipe


 

அரசி மாவு / Rice flour-1/2 cup நெய் / Ghee- 1.5 tsps தண்ணீர் / Water- 3/4 cup வெல்லம் / Jaggery - 3/4 cup ஏலக்காய் / Cardomom- 4 பச்சை கற்பூரம் / Edible camphor- little தேங்காய் பால் / Thick Coconut milk- 3/4 cup பால் / Milk - 2 cups Method: Take milk in a pan. Add 1/2 cup of water & let it boil in low flame. Take Jaggery in a pan. Add 1/4 cup of water that & make thick syrup by boiling the same. Let it cool Take ghee in a pan. Add water & a pinch of salt. Let it boil. Then add rice flour to that and mix nicely. Cook the same for 2 to 3 minutes till it cooks nicely. Take out the dough in a vessel & cool the same. After it cools down sprinkle little water to that & make a nice dough with hand & cover it with a lid. Take the dough in hand & make small balls & drop it in hot milk . OR Take the dough in a Murukku maker press & make plain murukku with dough directly in the milk. It can be cut with a scissor when the murukku comes out of the press. Let it cook for 2 to 3 minutes. It should not be stirred at that time. Then add Jaggery syrup & mix. Then add edible camphor, cardamom & mix it. Lower the flame & add coconut milk to that & mix it. After adding coconut milk it should not be boiled. Switch off the flame & transfer the same in a serving bowl. Keep pal kozhukattai to Ganesha & pray for a healthy year for all.
