How to make Raisins at home/ Easily make Kismis from green grapes by 2 methods @Ranjis flavours


 

Ingredients: திராட்சை/Green grapes- 300 GMs உப்பு / Salt- 2 tsps Method: Select good quality of grapes & take out from the bunch. Soak it in water with 2 tsps of salt for 1/2 an hour. ( this process removes any insecticides from grapes while growing) Drain the water after 1/2 an hour. Wash thoroughly with plain water & keep it in 2 separate bowls to prepare raisins in 2 methods. Method-1 Boil water in a vessel and add 1 bowl of grapes in that. Cook it high flame without much stirring. After 3 to 4 minutes all grapes cooks nicely & comes at the top of water. Then we can switch off the flame & drain the water. Keep a tray arranged with a cotton cloth to dry. Arrange all the grapes one by one without touching each other so that the drying process will be faster. Dry in hot sun for 2 days . Method-2 Steam the grapes in a cooker by keeping the same in perforated plate for 10 minutes. We can steam in Kadhai s as Lao with a covered lid for 10 min. After 10 minutes take out the same and dry in a cloth covered tray for 2 days. Both methods are very easy to prepare raisins. After 2 days of drying Raisins are ready to use.
