Ingredients:
பாசிப்பருப்பு / Split green gram - 1 cup
பச்சை மிளகாய் / green chilli- 2
சிவப்பு மிளகாய் / red chilli-1
கருவேப்பிலை/ Curry leaves- little
பெருங்காயம்/ Asafoetida- 1/4 tsp
கடுகு / Mustard- 1/2 tsp
உப்பு / Salt - to taste
தேங்காய் / grated coconut 🥥- 1/2 cup
எண்ணை/ oil - 2 tsp
மஞ்சள் பொடி/ turmeric powder- 1/2 tsp
Method:
Wash and soak moong dal for 1/2 an hour. Cook it in a open vessel by adding water.( this should not be cooked in cooker)
Keep it in a medium flame and cook the same till it gets little soft. It should not be over cooked.
Then drain the water and cool.
Heat 2 tsp of oil in a pan.
Add mustard, asafoetida, green chili & curry leaves to that. Then add cooked moong dal,turmeric powder & salt.
Mix nicely and then add grated coconut to that. Give it a nice mix and our Sundal is ready.
