How to make Kara Appam/Crispy Masoor dal dosa/2 in 1 recipe Kara appam & Masoor dal dosa

Ingredients: மசூர் பருப்பு / Masoor dal- 1.5 cups பாசிப்பருப்பு / Mung dal - 1/2 cup பச்சை மிளகாய் / Green chili- 4 இஞ்சி / Ginger - 1 inch கருவேப்பிலை / Curry leaves- little கொத்தமல்லி / Coriander leaves- little உப்பு / Salt - to taste எண்ணை / Oil - to make dosa & appam பெருங்காயம் / Asafoetida- 1/4 tsp வெங்காயம் / Onion- 1 Method: Wash masoor dal & mung dal nicely thrice & soak it for 3 hrs. Afterwards drain the water & make a fine paste of each with green chili, asafoetida, ginger & salt. Mix both the dal nicely & rest it for 30 minutes. Method for chutney: தேங்காய் / Coconut 🥥- 1/2 பச்சை மிளகாய் / Green chili- 2 பொட்டுக்கடலை / Roasted gram- 2 tbsps உப்பு / Salt - 1/2 tsp புதீனா இலைகள் / Mint leaves- 3 tbsps Take all this in mixer jar & make tasty chutney. For Kara appam: Take the batter in a bowl. Add onion, coriander & curry leaves & mix well with water ( as per consistency) Grease the appam pan with oil & heat. Fill up the batter in pan & add oil . Cover the same & cook well . After 2 minutes turn all appam to other side & add oil to make it to become crisp. Kara appam is ready with mint chutney. For making dosa: Take the batter in a separate bowl & add little water to make it in to dosa consistency. Heat non stick tawa & grease it with oil. Sprinkle some water on that & wipe it with tissue please paper. Then spread the dosa batter & make dosa & add oil. Make it crisp on both sides & serve with mint chutney.
