Rice flour Roti Recipe/Traditional way of making Akki Roti/How to make (GLUTEN FREE)Akki Roti at home

Ingredients: அரிசி மாவு / Rice flour- 2.5 cups உப்பு / Salt - to taste பச்சை மிளகாய் / Green chili - 5 to 6 இஞ்சி / Ginger - 1/2 inch grated பெருங்காயம் / Asafetida- 1/2 tsp ( soaked in water) கொத்தமல்லி / Coriander leaves - little சோம்பு இலை / Saunf leaves/ Dil leaves - 1 cup தண்ணீர் / Water - 2 cups (Can take 2.25 cups if necessary) எண்ணை / Oil - to roast சீரகம் / Cumin - 1 tsp துருவிய தேங்காய் / Grated coconut- 1/2 cup Method: Take rice flour in a bowl. Add salt, Asafetida water, green chili, ginger, dil leaves, coriander & grated coconut. Mix all ingredients nicely. Then add water & make dough. Place one banana leaf & grease the same with oil. Take a ball of dough & keep it on a leaf. Press the same with your palm & shape it like Roti. Heat Tava. Place the banana leaf on the Tava on the reverse side & press it on top. After 2 seconds remove the leaf slowly from that. Then add oil & roast it, and cover it with a lid. Roast on both sides. Our yummy, tasty rice flour is ready to serve with pickle or chutney etc. Try this recipe definitely & you will like it. This is suitable for kids' lunch boxes also. Enjoy Ranji's flavours!
