Dal Makhani Recipe in Tamil/ Restaurant style Dal Makhani/How to make Dal Makhani at home

Ingredients: கருப்பு உளுந்து / Whole black gram-1/2 cup ராஜ்மா பருப்பு / Rajma dal- 1 tbsp வெண்ணை / Butter- 6 tsps உப்பு / Salt - to taste மஞ்சள் தூள் / Turmeric powder- 1/2 tsp காஷ்மீரி மிளகாய் பொடி / Kashmiri chilli powder- 1.5 tsps தக்காளி / Tomato- 3 ( make purée) கசூரி மேதி / Kasoori Methi- 1/4 tsp பால் க்ரீம் / Milk cream - 1 tbsp எண்ணை / Oil - 2 tsps கொத்தமல்லித்தழை / Coriander leaves- little சீரகம் / Cumin - 1 tsp இஞ்சி பூண்டு பேஸ்ட் / Ginger garlic paste- 1/2 + 1/2 tsp Method: Wash both dal nicely thrice & soak it in water overnight. Dal should be soaked nicely in water . Keep 2 cups of water & cook dal in pressure cooker for 7 to 8 whistles. Cool the same & drain the black colored water in a strainer. Add oil in Kadhai & butter. Add Jeera. Then add garlic ginger paste & fry nicely. Add Kashmiri chili powder & salt. Then add tomato purée to that & cook nicely for 3 minutes with a lid. Cook till oil separates from tomato. Then add cooked dal to that & mix. Again cook it for 10 minutes with lid. Add butter in between & stir. After 10 minutes add kasoori Methi to that. Then add milk cream & lower the flame & mix it. Add coriander leaves on top. Our yummy Dal Makhani is ready to serve with Paratha, puri, Roti & rice. Add more cream on top & decorate. Enjoy Ranjis flavours!
