Method Mother turmeric is the one which we sow in the ground . When we take out the turmeric next year that becomes mother turmeric & many roots come in that & we get turmeric from that ( from roots) We get readily in market . In this video I have shown how we get mother turmeric in market. Once the turmeric crop is taken out we take out the mother turmeric separately. The small roots left out is cut on all sides & cooked . After cooling it is dried in sun. To remove the small small outer skin , that is rubbed in rough surface ( like rough towel or jute sacks to remove the extra skin in outer surface. Then it is dried. After drying apply usual turmeric powder & little water on top to get a colorful attractive mother turmeric.
