Rava Omapodi Vadam in 15 minutes/Rava Omapudi vadam/Rava Sevai vadam/sooji Kurdai/semolina Vadam

Ingredients: ரவா / Rava / Sooji - 1 cup உப்பு / Salt- 1 tsp தண்ணீர் / Water- 2 cup எண்ணை / Oil - 1 tsp Method: Wash rava with water. Then soak it in water to immerse rava fully. 2nd day Next morning discard the water on top of rava. Again add water to soak it overnight. 3rd morning again discard the water on top of rava . Take out the rava & measure it in a cup . It should be in a cup where it is full so that we can measure water accordingly. Keep 2 bowls of water in a vessel & boil it. ( water to be measured in the same cup where we measured rava) Add salt & oil in the water. Once the water boils add rava to that slowly by stirring it constantly in a medium flame. Then cover it with a plate for 3 to 4 minutes to cook the same After 4 minutes open the lid and again stir it in low flame to cook nicely. We can touch it by hand to see whether it is cooked & small bubbles will come while stirring. Then we can switch off the flame and cover it with a plate to cool. Keep the plastic sheet ready to make vadam. Take a sev type plate & fix it in sev machine by applying oil inside. Fill it with rava and make vadam. We can take thick sev plate also to make . Dry in sun for 2 days. Heat oil in a Kadhai & fry in medium flame . It is very white in colour & easy to make. Try this recipe & give your feedback on this.
