Instant Chakli Recipe/How to make Maharashtrian chakli/Murukku Recipe with store bought rice flour

Ingredients: அரச மாவு / Rice flour- 2 cups பொட்டுக்கடலை/ Puffed Chana dal- 1/2 cup உப்பு / Salt- 1 tsp பெருங்காயம் / Asafoetida- 1/4 tsp எண்ணை / Oil - to mix in flour- 1/4 cup சீரகத்தூள் / Jeera powder- 1 tsp தனியா பொடி / Coriander powder- 1 tsp ஓம்ம் / carrom seeds- 1/2 tsp எள் / Sesame- 1 tsp மஞ்சள் தூள் / Turmeric powder- 1/2 tsp மிளகாய் தூள் / Chili powder-2 tsp எண்ணை / oil- to fry Method: Take rice flour In a bowl. Take puffed Chana dal in a mixer & make a fine powder. ( which is well dried in sun) Sieve the Chana dal powder. Mix the same with rice flour. Add cooking oil. Add roasted Jeera powder, red chili powder, Asafoetida, sesame, carrom seeds, salt & coriander seeds powder to that. First Mix all ingredients with flour nicely. Then add water to that & make a dough. Heat oil in Kadhai. Take small plates & grease the same with oil.OR can take small plastic sheets to make chaklis. Grease the inside portion of the chakli maker with oil with a murukku plate inside. Fill the dough to the top & start making chaklis on the plate beforehand. Chaklis can be if any size of your choice big or small. Check the oil before frying the chaklis & slide the chaklis in oil one by one. Fry in medium flame till we get a golden color. Yummy, crispy chaklis are ready for Diwali. This can be stored for 10 days. We get 18 to 19 chaklis in 2 cups of rice flour. Try this recipe for Diwali.
