Peas Paneer/ Matar Paneer/ பட்டாணி பன்னீர்/ How to make Matar Paneer/Restaurant style Matar Paneer



Ingredients:

பட்டாணி/ Peas- 350 gms

பன்னீர் / Paneer- 250 gms

வெங்காயம் / Onion - 4

தக்காளி / Tomato- 2

எண்ணை / Oil - To Fry

பிரிஞ்சி இலை/ Brinji leaves/ Tej patha-1

சீரகம் / Cumin - 1 tsp

மிளகாய் பொடி/ Chilli powder- 1 tsp

சீரகப்பொடி / cumin powder- 1/2 tsp

மஞ்சள் பொடி / Turmeric powder- 1 tsp

உப்பு / Salt - To taste

கரம் மசாலா/Garam masala powder-1/2 tsp

இஞ்சி பேஸ்ட் /Ginger paste -1 tsp

பூண்டு பேஸ்ட் / Garlic paste - 1 tsp

Method:

As I have taken frozen peas, cooked peas in microwave oven for 3 minutes.

Heat 3 table spoons of oil in a pan. Add Brinji leaves, Jeera, ginger paste,garlic paste and then sauté for 3 to 4 minutes till onion becomes light brown in color. Add tomatoes and sauté for another 2 minutes.
Cool this and make a fine paste in mixer jar and keep aside.

Cut Paneer in small cubes and fry in little oil till it becomes light brown in color and keep aside.( If u take fresh Paneer, it need not be fried, as it is can be added in )

Now again heat some oil in the pan and fry the onion paste till the oil comes out on sides. Add cooked peas and paneer to that and cook for some more time after adding one glass of water to that.
Cook for 5 min till it it gets boiled with a lid on top of it. Add coriander leaves on top and serve hot.
Our Peas Paneer is ready to serve with hot phulka rotis and Nan.
